The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command Joins WCIL Gives

Quincy, IL – The Salvation Army Quincy Area Command is proud to participate in WCIL Gives, a four-day online giving event taking place June 8-11, 2026. Powered by the Tracy Family Foundation, WCIL Gives celebrates the spirit of generosity in West Central Illinois and supports the nonprofits that help our communities thrive.

Launched in 2025, WCIL Gives has already made a big impact raising more than $150,000 from more than 1,400 gifts and attracting hundreds of first-time donors. 

“We’re thrilled to be part of WCIL Gives,” said Matt Schmidt, Development Director of The Salvation Army. “Our focus that week will be Christmas in June. Money raised will help us buy discounted winter clothing and toys this summer. That means we'll be able to stretch our dollars further, build our inventory for Christmas and make sure no child's Angel Tree tag goes unadopted. 

Starting at 8:00 AM on June 8, donors can visit www.wcilgives.org/The-Salvation-Army-Of-Quincy to make a gift and track real-time progress on the event leaderboard. 

Throughout the event, prize challenges and matching donations will add excitement and friendly competition. Donors are encouraged to check the prize schedule at wcilgives.org and follow the Tracy Family Foundation on Facebook for updates.
