The Salvation Army of Goshen Seeks Community Support Ahead of Pancake Day

As The Salvation Army of Goshen prepares for its highly anticipated annual Pancake Day on April 24, organizers are calling on the community for additional support as the event is currently $25,800 short of its fundraising goal of $70,000. 

For over six decades, Pancake Day has been a beloved tradition in Goshen—bringing neighbors, businesses, and families together for a day of food, fellowship, and giving back. This vital fundraiser directly supports programs that provide food assistance, utility aid, youth development, and emergency services to individuals and families throughout southern Elkhart County. 

“We are looking forward to another incredible Pancake Day, but we need our community now more than ever,” said Lt. Aurelia Welch. “At this point, we are still significantly short of our goal, and we are asking businesses and individuals to step in through sponsorships or by simply coming out and participating in the event.”

The Salvation Army Goshen is actively seeking:

• Event sponsors to help offset costs and maximize community impact
• Community members to attend and participate
• Workplace and group orders to expand outreach

• Dine-In for a classic, community-centered experience
• Carry-Out for those on the go
• Delivery to local businesses and workplaces for added convenience

Every ticket purchased and every sponsorship secured helps ensure The Salvation Army can continue meeting the growing needs in the community. 

“This event is not just about pancakes—it’s about people,” Lt. Welch added. “It’s about making sure families have food on the table, kids have a safe place to grow, and no one feels forgotten.”

Pancake Day is April 24, 2026. Tickets are $8 and can be purchased through The Salvation Army Goshen Corps Facebook page, online at salarmy.us/pancakeday, or in person at 1013 N.
