The Salvation Army of Fort Wayne Launches their 2025 Card-A-Teen Program
The Salvation Army Fort Wayne is proud to announce the launch of its annual Card-A-Teen Program, a holiday campaign designed to ensure that teenagers ages 15 to 17 in struggling families are not forgotten this Christmas season.
While younger children receive clothing and toys through the Angel Tree program, older teens do not qualify. The Card-A-Teen Program fills that gap by providing gift cards to these youth, many of whom are playing vital roles in their households, working part time jobs or caring for younger siblings while parents are at work.
“These teens understand the challenges their families face, but they still deserve to experience the joy of Christmas,” said Dena Smith, Corps Officer for The Salvation Army “A gift card under the tree is a small gesture that can make a big impact.”
How You Can Help:
Community members are invited to pick up a Card-A-Teen tag, donate money, or drop off gift cards (minimum value of $25) at The Salvation Army, 2901 N Clinton Street, Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
Recommended gift cards include Walmart and Amazon, which offer teens the widest variety of choices to meet their personal interests.
Deadline for donations is Friday, December 5.
