Beverley had dreams of a better life for her and her children, but life was making it hard, and she did not have any support system, until she found The Salvation Army. As a single mother, Beverley had lost her job and therefore could not pay her bills. An eviction notice had been served, and her gas and utilities were due to be shut off any day. With nowhere else to turn, Beverley found The Salvation Army of Anderson, hoping they could provide just a little help so her children wouldn’t lose their home. Through The Salvation Army, she found so much more. Beverley found support, encouragement, and a road forward when she joined the Pathway of Hope program.

Through the program, a case worker was able to partner with other programs and a grant to help Beverley avoid her utilities being shut off and keep her in her home. As she continued through the Pathway of Hope Program, she found a new job; she set goals and even plans to go to Ivy Tech for classes that will give her the skills for the career she needs to be financially stable. Beverley had no idea that when she walked into The Salvation Army of Anderson that day that she would be provided with a new future.
