The Salvation Army Goshen to Host 2025 Red Kettle Kickoff - Community Invited to Join the Celebration
The Salvation Army of Goshen will officially launch its 2025 Red Kettle Campaign with a community kickoff celebration at the Historic Police Booth in downtown Goshen on November 14. Community members, families, businesses, and supporters are invited to attend this annual event that marks the beginning of the largest fundraiser of the year.
The Red Kettle Campaign makes it possible for The Salvation Army to provide food, utility assistance, rent support, youth programs, holiday help, and life-changing services throughout the year. The kickoff event will highlight this year’s fundraising goal and rally the community to help meet the growing needs in the Goshen area.
“Every dollar dropped into a red kettle stays right here in our community,” said Lieutenant Aurelia Welch, Corps Officer of The Salvation Army Goshen. “The support we receive through this campaign directly helps families in crisis, provides hope to those struggling, and allows us to continue serving with love and dignity.”

WHY IT MATTERS
Last year, The Salvation Army Goshen provided essential assistance to local families through rent and utility support, food distribution, youth programs, spiritual care, and holiday assistance. The need continues to grow, and the Red Kettle Campaign is critical in helping meet these community needs.
“It helps provide year-round, not just at Christmas time,” said Major Bill Welch. “It helps fill in the gap and meet the needs of those in the community.”
The Salvation Army of Goshen has seen a sharp increase in food needs in the community over the past several months. Demand has doubled in the food pantry and the youth feeding program has had to be expanded to include meals for adults experiencing homelessness. With program and food expenses twice what they have been in years past, donations to the Red Kettle Campaign are more important than ever.
CALL TO ACTION
Community members can support the campaign by donating at Red Kettles across the city, giving online to the Virtual Red Kettle, or visiting RegisterToRing.com to sign up as a volunteer bell ringer this season. Businesses and groups are also encouraged to adopt a kettle for a day.
