Can you believe we are already heading into our fourth week of Summer Swimming here at the Kroc Center? It has been incredible seeing so many families cooling off, staying active, and making memories in the pool.

To ensure everyone has a safe, fun, and smooth experience, we want to share a few friendly reminders and insider tips for your next visit.

Planning Your Exit (Beat the Closing Rush!)

Our facility—including the locker rooms—closes promptly at 8:00 PM Monday through Friday and 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

To make sure you have plenty of time to dry off, change, and collect your belongings, please plan your swim workout or family playtime accordingly. Locker Rooms will be locked promptly at 8:00 PM Monday through Friday and 4:00 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

Pro-Tip: Want to maximize your pool time right up until the final whistle? Consider bringing minimal gear and using our outdoor showers to quickly rinse off before heading straight to your car!

Pool Capacity & Safety First

Your safety is our top priority. We strictly maintain the American Red Cross recommended swimmer-to-lifeguard ratios. Because of this, our lifeguards stay in constant communication with the front desk.

If the pool reaches maximum safety capacity, our Guest Services team will ask incoming members and guests to wait in the lobby until space opens up. We appreciate your patience and cooperation in keeping our waters safe for everyone!

The 10-Minute Safety Break

During afternoon Rec Swim hours, the pool will close for a 10-minute Safety Break at ten minutes before every hour (for example, from 2:50 PM to 3:00 PM).

  • Weekday breaks will be from 3:00-pm-3:10pm, and 4:00pm-4:10pm.
  • Weekend breaks are from 2:00pm-2:10pm and 3:00pm-3:10pm.

This is a standard safety practice that offers some great benefits:

For Swimmers: It’s the perfect time to grab a drink of water, take a quick restroom break, and reapply that all-important sunscreen.

For Parents (The Secret Weapon): If your kids have had plenty of sun but are resisting leaving, the safety break is the ultimate "exit window." It’s much easier to transition to a new activity or head home when everyone is already out of the pool!

Thank you for being such an amazing part of our Kroc community. Stay cool, swim safe, and we’ll see you in the lanes!
