Shelter Strong, Unity Day

This fall, the Orlando Area Command gathered together to celebrate shelter residents with a fun-filled community picnic. Families enjoyed delicious food served from our mobile canteen, snow cones, coloring stations for kids, basketball, and plenty of laughter. The Social Services team led the charge in planning a day where every resident felt celebrated and cared for. Along with games and activities, residents also received swag bags, prizes, and the opportunity for meaningful spiritual care. This special event reminded our neighbors that they are not alone. By combining joy with community, volunteers  The Salvation Army created a day of encouragement and connection for those currently walking through difficult seasons.
