Runway with a Purpose: Fashion Fundraiser Supports The Salvation Army in Sharon, Pennsylvania
SHARON, Pa. (May 11, 2026) – The Salvation Army of Sharon invites the community to its upcoming fundraising event, Runway with a Purpose - Life is a Journey, on Thursday, July 23, 2026, at 660 Fisher Hill Street. This inclusive runway event will feature models of different ages, sizes, ethnicities and abilities, representing local agencies, businesses and community partners. The Salvation Army is seeking event sponsors and community partners to bring this event to life. Sponsorship provides meaningful recognition before, during and after the event while directly supporting local programs. Sponsorship commitments must be received by June 1, 2026, to ensure full benefits. Community members are also encouraged to attend and support the event through ticket purchases, with all proceeds benefiting local Salvation Army services. “This event is a celebration of community and compassion in action,” said Major Laura Duesenberry, Commanding Officer of The Salvation Army in Sharon, Pennsylvania. “Every sponsor and every ticket helps us continue meeting urgent needs in our community.”
The Salvation Army’s mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. That mission is lived out daily through local services. Behind these numbers are real families. One local family faced eviction after their daughter’s serious medical diagnosis and treatment. The Salvation Army provided emergency housing assistance, ensuring stability and hope for the family. Events Like Runway with a Purpose make this support possible.
