MURDER MYSTERY DINNER FUNDRAISER TO SUPPORT LOCAL FAMILIES FACING CRITICAL NEEDS

Community members are invited to step into the Wild West and help solve a “Murder at the Golden Kettle Saloon” during The Salvation Army of Petoskey’s interactive murder mystery dinner on Saturday, May 16th. The event will take place at The Salvation Army Community Center, 2350 Mitchell Park Drive. Doors open at 5:30 PM, and the show begins at 6:00 PM.
Proceeds from the evening will support essential Salvation Army programs providing food, rent, utility assistance, and other vital resources to neighbors in Emmet, Charlevoix, and Antrim counties—needs that have grown significantly due to ongoing economic challenges and rising inflation.
This year marks 125 years since The Salvation Army of Petoskey was founded in 1901. While much has changed over the past century, one thing remains unwavering: the Petoskey Corps’ commitment to serving individuals and families when they need it most.
A Wild West Experience with a Local Twist
“Murder at the Golden Kettle Saloon” is a live, fully interactive murder mystery dinner featuring local actors—including special guest Tim Nixon of Lite 96.3. Guests will work together to uncover “whodunit” while enjoying an old‑west‑style pulled pork dinner.
Attendees are encouraged to dress in historic Western attire for a chance to win the Best Dressed in the Old West Contest, with prizes awarded for best‑dressed man and woman.
