Every year, Salvationists from across the Southern Territory gather at Lake Junaluska in North Carolina for a week of worship, learning, and fellowship. From August 9-15, 2026, The Salvation Army Southern Territorial Bible Conference will once again bring officers, soldiers, families, and friends together for a time of spiritual renewal under the theme “Radical Faith: Not By Might.”

Set against the scenic backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains, the conference offers a unique opportunity for attendees of all ages to deepen their faith while connecting with the wider Salvation Army community. Daily devotions, corporate worship, Bible study sessions, and specialized programs for youth and young adults provide meaningful ways for all participants to grow spiritually and build lasting relationships.

This year’s conference will feature multiple distinguished guest speakers leading Bible teaching sessions throughout the week.

Commissioner Israel Gaither, former International Chief of the Staff and retired USA National Commander, is widely respected for his decades of leadership and ministry within The Salvation Army. His teaching is expected to bring both wisdom and encouragement to those in attendance.

Also joining the conference are Dr. Ellen Marmon and Dr. Thomas McCall, both from Asbury Theological Seminary. Known for their thoughtful biblical scholarship and engaging teaching styles, Marmon and McCall will guide attendees through scripture while challenging them to live out radical faith in everyday life.

In addition to incredible Bible teaching, the week will include worship led by special guests Karl and Lauren Westwood of The Salvation Army’s United Kingdom and Ireland Territory. Attendees will also have the opportunity to participate in a special opening night worship concert featuring the GRAMMY-nominated and Dove Award-recognized worship band Leeland, known for powerful congregational worship songs such as “Lion and the Lamb” and “Way Maker.”

Whether attending individually or with family, Bible Conference provides space to step away from the busyness of daily life and be refreshed physically, emotionally, and spiritually. Through worship, fellowship, and the teaching of God’s Word, participants will return home strengthened in their faith and mission, ready to live out their radical faith.
