Elkhart Salvation Army to kick off their Red Kettle Season
WHAT
The Elkhart Salvation Army officially begins their 2025 holiday campaign
with a kickoff event featuring special guests Elkhart City Mayor Rob
Roberson, local radio personality Laura Smith of 95.3 MNC Michiana’s
Morning News Show, and Advisory Board president, Gina Storm. This event
is open to the public and will feature sharing the local mission, impact, and
goal. Opportunities for support, including bell ringing, will be highlighted.
Refreshments will be provided.
WHY
The Salvation Army is the largest non-governmental social service provider
in the country, directly supporting nearly 24 million Americans each year
and more than 10,000 persons in Elkhart, LaGrange, and Steuben Counties
through a variety of programs. The organization’s mission is funded by
donations and grants. The Christmas Campaign helps secure much-needed
funding to continue fulfilling the mission of meeting human need during the
holidays as well as throughout the rest of the year.
