Donations to The Salvation Army's Red Kettles to Be Matched December 11-13
The Salvation Army of Evansville is getting ready for three busy days of fundraising that could make a big impact to their programs and services in 2026. On December 11, 12, and 13 all donations made to Red Kettles across Vanderburgh, Warrick, and Posey counties will be doubled up to $15,000 thanks to a matching gift from a local supporter.
"During these Kettle Match Days, every dollar placed in the kettle will be matched—doubling your impact—and fueling the work God has called us to do," said Captain Brandon Lewis with The Salvation Army. "Now is the time for our community to stand together, link arms, and advance God’s mission of hope, restoration, and love. I invite everyone to join us in this partnership: give generously, pray boldly, and help us change lives in His name."
Last year The Salvation Army of Evansville provided over 226,000 meals to those facing hunger and ensured almost 5,000 nights of safe lodging to households that needed help keeping a roof over their heads. Over the 6-week Red Kettle Campaign, The Salvation Army aims to raise the funds necessary to continue to provide impactful programs like these to local households.
Volunteer bell ringers are needed to sign up for 2-hour shifts to ensure that every Red Kettle can be out each day of the match. Individuals, groups, and families are encouraged to visit RegisterToRing.com to sign up for the date, time, and location of their choosing. Red Kettles are being placed at a number of locations this year, including Walmart, Schnuck's, Sam's Club, Wesselman's, Hobby Lobby, IGA, Eastland Mall, JCPenney, Dillard's, Price Less Foods, and Boonville City Hall.
Donations can also be made online to help The Salvation Army reach its holiday fundraising goal before the end of the year. Visit salarmy.us/evansvillevrk2025 to give to the 2025 Virtual Red Kettle.
All funds donated to The Salvation of Evansville will stay local to help out residents in need throughout 2025. To learn more about The Salvation Army's mission and ministries, visit SAEvansville.org.
