Ellwood City, Pa. (November 14, 2025) – ELLWOOD Group is generously pledging a $30,000 match challenge to boost The Salvation Army's Red Kettle Campaign in the local communities of New Castle and Ellwood City, Pennsylvania. Every dollar donated locally between November 15 and December 24, 2025, will be matched, up to $20,000 total in New Castle and up to $10,000 total in Ellwood City.

Gifts to the annual Red Kettle Campaign remain in the community where they are given and make it possible for The Salvation Army to deliver life-changing programs and services throughout the year including critical feeding programs, rent and utility assistance, seasonal assistance as well as youth empowerment and spiritual programs. The Salvation Army’s goal is to raise more than $2.3 million across 28 counties in Western Pennsylvania.

“As a family-owned company, supporting the communities where we live and work is fundamental,” said David Barensfeld, ELLWOOD Chairman of the Board. “We are proud to deepen our partnership with The Salvation Army to ensure this trusted nonprofit is equipped with the resources needed to help our neighbors through every season. We hope this match inspires a wave of giving, allowing every contributor to see their donation—and its impact—immediately doubled.”

There are three easy ways to double your donation during the ELLWOOD Group’s match challenge. Donations can be made in person at a Red Kettle location or virtually by visiting, https://salarmy.us/EllwoodKettle (Ellwood City) or https://salarmy.us/NewCastleKettle (New Castle). Donations can also be made by texting the word “Kettle” to 31333. Donors can then reply with their ZIP code to ensure each donation goes directly back into the community where they reside.

The Salvation Army is also in need of volunteers to ring bells alongside the nonprofit’s iconic Red Kettles this holiday season. Community members can visit RegistertoRing.com to sign up to become a volunteer bell ringer. Potential volunteers can also contact their local Salvation Army directly.
