DANA Local 903 Donates Over $24,000 in Toys to The Salvation Army Angel Tree Program
The Salvation Army Fort Wayne is excited to announce a remarkable act of generosity from DANA United Steel Workers Local 903 and Meijer, who together contributed more than $24,000 in toys to support the Angel Tree program. This includes a $5,000 donation from Meijer, making this partnership a powerful example of community giving.
The Angel Tree program provides clothing, toys, and food for a Christmas dinner to families who might otherwise go without during the holiday season. Thanks to the support of DANA Local 903 and Meijer, The Salvation Army can continue its mission of spreading hope and joy throughout the community.
"We are very grateful for DANA Local 903 and Meijer’s commitment to making a difference," said Captain Dena Smith, Corp Officer at The Salvation Army Fort Wayne. "Their generosity will bring smiles to countless children and hope to struggling families this season."
Angel Tree tags are still available at locations throughout the community, and the deadline to return gifts is Friday, December 5. The Salvation Army invites everyone to join in making Christmas brighter for local families by selecting a tag and donating toys, clothing, or funds.
