The Salvation Army India Northern Territory conducted a dynamic Career Guidance Course Training on 9 June 2026 at Centre Corps, Divisional Headquarters Batala, Punjab. Organised under the leadership of Major Raju Masih, Territorial Youth Secretary, the event brought together 210 young delegates eager to explore career pathways while deepening their spiritual foundations.
A Spirit‑Filled Opening
The programme commenced with a warm welcome to all participants and guests. The inauguration was led by Major Raju Masih (TYS), alongside Lieut. Colonel Sulakhan Masih, Divisional Commander of the Batala Division, who lit the ceremonial candle as a symbol of God’s guidance and blessing.

In the keynote address, Major Raju Masih spoke from Jeremiah 29:11, encouraging young people to trust God’s purpose for their lives. Under the theme "Discovering God’s Purpose for Your Future," he reminded delegates that career decisions are most meaningful when aligned with God’s calling.

Mrs. Solomi Patrick, Principal of the College of Nursing at Mac‑Robert Hospital, Dhariwal, presented practical insights into careers in nursing and the wider medical field.
Medical Profession
Dr. Navish Singhania from Mac‑Robert Hospital offered guidance on medical career opportunities and engaged delegates in an interactive Q&A session.
Police, Defence & Merchant Navy
Mr. Harjit Singh (SHO) and Mr. Sarvan Singh (ASI) of the Punjab Police provided valuable information on careers in law enforcement, defence services, and maritime professions.
Education Sector
Mr. Raju Daniel, Principal of TSA School Batala, highlighted more than 25 career options within the education and teaching sector.
Calling to Officership
Lt. Colonel Sulakhan Masih spoke on "How to Become a Salvation Army Officer – Discovering Your Calling," inviting young people to prayerfully consider a life dedicated to ministry.
