Seven cadets of the Keepers of the Covenant session (2024–2026) were ordained and commissioned as Lieutenants in The Salvation Army’s India Eastern Territory on April 12, 2026. The service was led by Territorial Commander Colonel Lalbulliana at ITI Corps, Central South Division, following two years of training at the Officer Training College.

The session included three married couples and one single, engaged female cadet. In all, four women and three men were commissioned for ministry and leadership.

"The session layout uniquely features three married couples alongside one single, engaged female cadet dedicated to the work of the cross."

The commissioning programme took place over three days at the Officer Training College, Booth Mansion and ITI Corps. Major events included the Covenant Service on April 9 at the OTC Chapel, the Service of Praise on April 11 at ITI Corps, the Ordination and Commissioning Service, the Silver Star Fellowship, and the Appointment Service on April 12.

One of the key moments was the Covenant Service, where the cadets signed the Covenant under the leadership of the Territorial Commander. The Service of Praise, themed “Call and Commitment,” honoured local officers and featured music, presentations and recognition of cadet achievements. During the ordination and commissioning service, the cadets shared testimonies, presented the sessional song and were formally commissioned as Lieutenants. Parents were also recognised through the presentation of the Order of the Silver Star.

The celebration concluded with the Silver Star Fellowship and the Appointment Service, where the new Lieutenants received their first appointments. Field training appointments for the Proclaimers of Transformation session were also announced.

Administrative Acknowledgements: Organisers expressed thanks to the territorial leadership, ITI Corps, participating bands and songsters, and SACNET for their structural and logistical support throughout the three-day commissioning events.
