A Thank You Letter To Springfield Salvation Army

We are incredibly thankful for the Salvation Army of Springfield. Our son, Samson, has special needs, and after struggling to find sitters or camps that could accommodate him, we felt defeated—not just about his care, but about continuing our careers. As owners of Under Pressure Mobile Kitchen, summers are our busiest time, and without proper care, it didn’t feel safe or fair to pursue our work.

The Salvation Army’s special needs camp has been a crucial part of our success, providing Samson with a safe, caring, and enriching environment. When challenges came up, Tarole and her team worked with us to find solutions and truly make his experience the best it could be.

With no other local options, this program is vital—not just for our family, but for many others. These kids get to enjoy independence, friendships, and experiences they wouldn’t otherwise have. It makes a lasting impact on their lives and our community.
