Two years ago, Randy Saucedo and his wife Heather and their children were homeless. Randy struggled with addiction and their lives seemed hopeless. Then, thanks to recovery support and resources provided by their local Salvation Army, this family found a new path forward.

After marriage and parenting classes, Randy and Heather were able to heal their family and rebuild their lives. Today, Randy is also able to celebrate two years of recovery, and his family is happier than ever.

Paying it forward for other families

Randy and Heather are grateful for the help they received at The Salvation Army when they needed it most. Today, this family likes to pay forward their gratitude by helping other families and seniors during the holidays.

Each Thanksgiving, the Riverside Corps delivers 800 meals to seniors and low-income families that might not have a hot meal on Thanksgiving Day. Randy and Heather were delighted to be able to be part of the volunteers who delivered hot meals with a message of love and hope to others.

Thanks to compassion and generosity like yours, families like the Saucedo’s are never without hope during their darkest moments.
