Cure Hunger
Hunger Goes Hand-in-Hand with Poverty
Nearly 25 percent of Huron residents live below the federal poverty line, which means many are likely struggling with food insecurity.
Hunger may not always be visible, but that doesn't mean it doesn't exist right in your own neighborhood. We're here to help.
How We Help Cure Hunger
Our feeding programs serve the Huron community each and every day of the week.
Genesis Noon Feeding Program | Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
We serve a nutritious, satisfying lunch five days a week to anyone in need who walks through our doors, offering not only physical sustenance but a warm, inviting environment where people can find companionship and community. Each week, more than 200 individuals are fed through this program.
Weekend Sack Lunches
We provide sack lunches, available for pick-up on Fridays, to sustain anyone who needs food over the weekend. More than 300 meals are distributed each month.
Food Pantry | Monday through Friday from 1:30 - 3:30 p.m.
Our pantry offers canned and packaged staples to help individuals and families make ends meet.
