Supporting our heroes at home

A combined 11.22% of Northumberland and Union Counties are veteran households. Since World War I, The Salvation Army has supported service members fighting on the frontlines. Now The Salvation Army is helping them on the home front with Project Frontline.

• At least 20% of Iraq and Afghanistan veterans suffer from PTSD and/or depression.
• More than 20% of veterans with PTSD also suffer from an addiction or dependence on drugs or alcohol.
• Veterans of our armed forces represent 26% of the U.S. homeless population.
