Housing crises can happen to anyone, which is why we provide assistance programs to keep you safe and sheltered. No matter your circumstances, The Salvation Army welcomes anyone who walks through our doors. If you or someone you know is in need of emergency shelter, please contact us for information.

How You Can Help

There are many ways to support The Salvation Army's local homelessness services:

  • Volunteer: Share your time and skills to help with different activities.
  • Donate: Your gift helps us keep our neighbors safe, warm, and housed.

The Salvation Army Lessig-Booth Family Residence provides emergency shelter for families year-round. The Booth-Lesig Family Residence serves 11 families and up to 44 occupants. Each family is provided their own room while each floor shares community bathrooms. Anyone seeking shelter in Montgomery County should call 211.

We want to help people find a place to call home. When you need a more long-term solution, one of our permanent housing facilities may be a better fit. This is an extension of the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development and anyone seeking this service should also call 211.
