Youth Services at the Coos Bay Corps Community Center
The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.
We understand the challenges and opportunities facing young people in our community today. Our dedicated local staff and volunteers are committed to creating a safe and positive environment where young people can learn, grow, and develop important life skills. Through mentoring, tutoring, summer camp, music programs, and recreational activities, we strive to help young people in our area reach their full potential.
After School Program
For Children ages K - 6th grade
Homework Assistance & After School Care
At The Salvation Army, we provide one-on-one teaching assistance to help kids of all ages with school work, study guidance and literacy advancement. We open our doors to anyone in need and never discriminate based on gender, ethnicity or socioeconomic level.
Martial Arts
Beginning-level training with an emphasis on mental and physical discipline and health before moving on to intermediate training.
Troops
These groups provide opportunities to develop character by exploring different activities, experiencing new things, and learning how to work together as a group.

Our After School Program is for kids from K - 6th grades and we offer a variety of activities including homework assistance, Troops scouting program, martial arts as well music and drama!
Electives Schedule
Monday - Music Day (dance, brass band, ukulele)….4:00-5:00 PM
Tuesday - Drama: 4:00-5:00 PM
Wednesday - Troops: 3:30-5:30 PM
Thursday - Singing Company (kids chorus): 4:00-5:00 PM
Friday - Martial Arts: 2:00-4:00 PM
Daily Schedule
2:30-3:30 PM: Arrival/Snack
3:30-5:00 PM: Free Choice Play/Electives
5:00-5:30: Clean-Up/Departure
