Between our mobile food-service programs and the food we serve at our local corps community centers, The Salvation Army of Omaha serves up more than 40,000 meals per year.

365 days a year, The Salvation Army of Omaha serves individuals and families in need around the metro area – thanks to our 8 main programs and services.

Serving families is a big part of what we do at The Salvation Army of Omaha.  Family Meals of Hope caters to families in need by bringing free meals directly to conveniently located public places in underserved neighborhoods, where they can easily access them.

The Salvation Army of Omaha provides those in need with a hand up – not a handout.  We focus our local programs on helping families break the intergenerational cycle of poverty.

We provide hydration as part of our feeding programs – both everyday programs and via our disaster-relief efforts.  For example, during our work in the wake of the Arbor Day Tornado Outbreak in the metro area, we provided more than 10,600 drinks (like bottled water and Gatorade) to survivors and first responders.

The Salvation Army of Omaha serves those in need with love and hope.  It’s part and parcel of our mission statement, which is to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ and meet human needs in His name without discrimination.
