Here You'll Feel at Home

Here You'll Feel at Home

Life is busier than ever, and many of us are balancing work, parenting, caretaking and other responsibilities. It's easy even when our lives are full to feel disconnected and alone. Some of us are walking through grief or hardship and simply need a shoulder to lean on or a sympathetic ear. We invite you to connect with neighbors and new friends, enjoy a meal, study Scripture together, and, if you love music, join one of our adult music groups. You'll feel right at home at the Omaha Citadel Worship & Service Center.

Stats

42.6 million adults

Being connected to others socially is widely considered a fundamental human need, critical to both well-being and survival. Yet according to statistical reports, approximately 42.6 million adults over age 45 in the United States are estimated to be suffering from chronic loneliness.

The Salvation Army passionately invites senior citizens into relationships with others through our many senior centers and eldercare programs. To help combat the loneliness, depression, and loss of independence that often accompany old age, we provide group dining experiences, coordinated activities, visit the homebound, and offer residential assistance for older adults in need of a senior living community
