An Unforgettable Day: Sponsor Receives Blessing at Toy Shop

The Salvation Army's Toy Shop in Branson makes lasting impressions on both the receivers and the givers. When one of our well-known and well-loved civic service leaders stopped by to observe and take part in the toy distribution, he encountered a “God-wink” that will forever remain with him.

While volunteering with us, he was able to escort one of the young mothers around the Toy Shop, assisting her as she chose gifts for her children. At one particular table, the woman stopped and noticed a gift that she deemed perfect for her child. It was the exact toy this man had purchased, and she chose it among a room of 1,000+ other toys. She didn’t know it was his, and he didn’t tell her. But when he told Envoys Steve and Lisa Roberson, he had tears flowing down his cheeks because the Lord proved Himself in such a unique way. He shared that this moment changed his life. He knew that God saw Him. And He would never forget it.

This is just one example of why we do what we do. God is faithful to honor and cover us with His love and favor. We cannot thank the community enough for donating so generously to The Salvation Army in Branson, and for changing the lives over 600 children in our community.
