A Simple "Thank You"
Two years ago, a woman came to The Salvation Army Service Center in Arnold for help. She was in an abusive situation and didn't know where to go. Our caseworker, a volunteer, and our director prayed with the woman and, with her permission, called the police. We provided references, hope and prayer for her, and assured her we were here if she needed anything more.
This week, she called to simply say "thank you." The woman had left the abusive situation, moved in with family in another county, and had gotten back on her feet. She not only has a place to call home, but was also able to buy a new car. She credits The Salvation Army and God with her being able to turn her life around.
While we don't always know what happens after we've served someone in the community, we trust God to work in ways and places we cannot see. And we know He is faithful.
