Rent and Utility Assistance

Rochester (MN) Worship and Service Center Rent and Utility Assistance Information

Rental Assistance

The Salvation Army provides rental assistance to prevent evictions in Olmsted County, MN. Qualified renters must show either an eviction letter or another form of proof that their housing is in jeopardy, the event that led to them falling behind on their rent (a job loss, medical bill, car accident, etc.), and verify that they are able to afford their housing under normal circumstances.

Our team also works closely with the County and Three Rivers Community Action, two other sources of support for rental assistance.

Heatshare Utility Assistance

The Salvation Army's Heatshare program provides utility assistance to prevent shut-off and to help households get their utilities turned back on. As with our rental assistance program, households must present a shut-off notice, the reason they fell behind on their utility bills, and verify that they are able to afford their utilities under normal circumstances.
