Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA)
VITA utilizes volunteers from across the community to complete income taxes for senior and low-income households. Taxes are completed by appointment. Appointments can be scheduled by calling 1-800-543-7709 or by visiting semntaxes.org.
Community members may also pick up packets to fill out their tax information before their appointment by visiting The Salvation Army at either 115 or 20 First Avenue NE between 8am and 4pm Monday-Friday. Both buildings will have packets available through the end of the tax season.
Community Food Response (CFR)
CFR is a volunteer organization that rescues food from restaurants across Olmsted County, and distributes it from The Salvation Army 120 First Street NE building in Rochester, MN on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays from 4-6pm.
Food is distributed drive through style from the ground level of the building. Pre-registration is not required in order to receive a meal.
POBLO International
POBLO delivers services from The Salvation Army's 120 First Street NE building in Rochester, MN that include English lessons, technology classes, and other basic support for refugees and recent immigrants to the United States.
Laundry Vouchers

Transportation Assistance
This includes bus or gas vouchers to support community members who have started a job but have not yet received their first pay check, or to support stranded motorists in need of help returning to their home communities.
