Teen Angel Sponsorship

We invite you as a group, business, family or individual to become a TEEN ANGEL! Together, we can ensure that teens, 13-17 years of age, are not overlooked this holiday season. 

• TEEN ANGEL PROGRAM: Salvation Army Traverse City Corps' Teen Angel Program' was started by our beloved and dearly missed Ruth Blick, as she saw that teens were not getting adopted by sponsors, and she wanted to make sure they had gifts under the tree because they are still kids, they matter, and are loved. The Teen Angel Program provides teens ages 13-17 with wonderful gifts for them under their Christmas tree.

This successful program consists of securing community sponsors who will adopt one or more of our teens that qualify through the family application process and dropping off their purchases (unwrapped) to our team at our Community Center on Barlow on Thursday, December 11th, and Friday, December 12th, 12 pm to 7 pm. GIVE WITH JOY! this Christmas season and help us make a teen’s Christmas bright by sponsoring a teen(s)!

To sponsor a teen, please contact Sue Brown, Director of Community Resource Development, 231-649-2752 or sue.brown@usc.salvationarmy.org. In 2024, we provided an amazing Christmas for 130 teens. In 2025, we are predicting to assist 150 teens.
