ON THE FRONT LINE

The Salvation Army of Petoskey has responded to many local disasters such as home, apartment and brush fires, missing person searches, and the devastating ice storm. When disasters happen, local First Responders contact the on-call Salvation Army EDS Team for assistance. EDS Teams are directed to specific locations where they provide food, water and other supplies as needed to First Responders and disaster survivors. EDS Teams connect with survivors to ensure their immediate food and shelter needs are met and provide them with contact information to our Social Services Department Caseworkers who will work with them in the days, weeks and sometimes months to follow while they are getting back on their feet.
