Holiday Assistance Program
Petoskey, MI Corps Holiday Assistance Program Information
HOLIDAY ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
Each year The Salvation Army of Petoskey Corps provides holiday assistance to individuals, families and seniors of Emmet, Charlevoix and Antrim Counties. Everyone deserves to have food and comfort and know that they are loved. Our hope is that those we help will see the love of Jesus Christ through our actions. In addition to the families we serve, we provide Christmas and Easter gifts to senior and adult care facilities and mail gifts to children of incarcerated parents in our service area.
Residents of Emmet, Charlevoix or Antrim Counties may apply for food vouchers for Thanksgiving and Christmas and toys for children for Christmas.
Holiday Assistance is now closed until: TBA 2026.
THANKSGIVING ASSISTANCE
- Grocery vouchers for Thanksgiving meals
CHRISTMAS ASSISTANCE
The Salvation Army's mission shines brightest at Christmas.
The Salvation Army celebrates the birth of Christ by spreading His hope, love and joy to less fortunate members of our community. In fact, our gift-giving programs and fundraising initiatives are a direct answer to God's calling to care for the poor, hungry, sick, and displaced. From physical needs such as grocery, utility and gift assistance, to emotional experiences including holiday events and traditions, to spiritual guidance that provides healing and hope, we work to assist the whole person through gifts that serve the body, mind and soul.

DONATE GIFTS TO ANGEL TREE AND TOY LIFT PROGRAMS: Give gifts to children in need through our Angel Tree and Toy Lift programs. Angel Tree provides gifts for children of struggling local families and Toy Lift provides gifts to children from incarcerated parents in local jails to make sure they aren't forgotten on Christmas morning. During the holiday season, you can purchase gifts and drop them off at The Salvation Army of Petoskey Community Center Monday-Friday from 9am-4pm (closed 12pm-1pm for lunch).
