Monday's & Thursday's 9:00am-11:30am and 1:00pm-3:30pm

Utility Assistance
Depending on funding available, we are able to assist with utility assistance. Each utility service has eligibility requirements, such as residency and/or proof of identification.
Meal Programs
From sit-down programs that provide nutritious hot meals and valuable human interaction. We help the most vulnerable members of society escape the daily burdens of food insecurity.
Youth Programs and Services
Bridging The Gap
Bridging the Gap aims to bring a safe and caring atmosphere to at-risk youth. The program is a FREE 12-week, 3 days/week program and provides opportunities for personalized tutorial services, life skills, health education, and more.

Backpack Program
Providing school supplies gives local youth the head start they need in order to excel in their education.
Vacation Bible School
Our leaders will help kids dive deeper into their faith by putting the focus on God and His amazing plan for us. Join us for Bible stories, crafts, music, and games.
Summer Camps
The Salvation Army’s network of free summer camps allows kids of all ages, despite their family’s income level, to have a safe, fun, unforgettable summer camp experience and enjoy outdoor recreation, educational activities, and hands-on projects.
Kids Club
From ages six to twelve, kids are welcome to come and have fun while learning about the love of God at Ishpeming's Community Center located on 222 E. Division Street.

Family Services
Pathway of Hope
The Salvation Army offers holistic and strengths-based case management services to families with children who have a desire to take action to break the cycle of crisis and attain a level of increased stability. Families will work in partnership with their case manager and ministry staff to develop an action plan as well as assess their strengths and progress while receiving support and encouragement to reach their goals.
Additional Support
Depending on funding available, we are also able to assist with household goods, furniture, clothing, and hygiene products. Each service has eligibility requirements, such as residency and/or proof of identification. Some services have time limits and income eligibility requirements. All requests for assistance are handled by appointment.

- Our Toy Shop program is for children 0-18 years old attending school.
- Documents required: valid photo ID
- Proof of guardianship of children

- Proof of income for adults out of K-12 school and older in the household.

We provide several assistance programs during the holidays, including a Thanksgiving meal served the day before Thanksgiving for our lunch program, Toy Shop, Christmas baskets and Adopt a Family.
