About the event
The Salvation Army to Participate in the Tulip Time Parade
The Tulip Time Parade will be held on May 9, and The Salvation Army is proud to once again participate in this cherished community event. This year, we are especially happy to welcome our Divisional Commanders, who will join us in the parade alongside a Salvation Army float.
Parades provide a meaningful chance to connect with our community and showcase The Salvation Army’s ongoing presence and dedication to service. Having attended the last two parades, I have personally experienced the joy of greeting the people of Holland—waving to families along the route and hearing them warmly call out, “The Salvation Army!”
While the float is a festive part of the celebration, its purpose goes deeper than simply representing our organization. It acts as a reminder of the many ways God has worked through The Salvation Army to make a difference—offering compassion, practical help, and encouragement. For many parade attendees and their loved ones, The Salvation Army has been a source of love today and hope for tomorrow, and we are thankful to keep sharing that message with the community.
We look forward to celebrating Tulip Time with the people of Holland and sharing this special moment together.
