The 2025 Kettle Kickoff and Christmas Campaign Chair
The Salvation Army Announces 2025 Christmas Campaign Chair
and Annual Red Kettle Kickoff
GRAND RAPIDS, Mich. (November 12, 2025) – Amway’s President and CEO will be joining The Salvation Army in Kent County on Friday at their annual Red Kettle Kickoff as their 2025 Christmas Campaign Chair.
Nelson was named as Amway’s President and CEO in 2024 and appointed to The Salvation Army’s National Advisory Board in April of 2025. “Supporting the communities where we do business has always been at the heart of the Amway story,” Nelson said. “Though our business spans the world, our home is West Michigan, and this community is special not only to my family and me, but also to the 2,500+ employees that work in our Headquarters location in Ada.”
The event, which is open to the public, will take place at 5:00 p.m. on the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids. When the Blue Bridge lights turn on at dusk, they will be red to mark the beginning of the Salvation Army’s annual fundraising campaign. This year’s kettle goal will also be announced at the event.
Following the ceremony, a free concert will be held at the Amway Grand Plaza featuring The Salvation Army Central Territorial Staff Songsters and the Girls’ Choral Academy.
