Flint and Genesee County are known for being the basketball mecca of the world. Hosting the largest 3-on-3 basketball tournament in the world creates excitement and a bright future for children attending The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center's Gift Discovery Programming. Join us as a Sponsor, Volunteer, or Spectator. Players this year, 2026 can sign up their 4-person teams now.

This will be the third year for The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center to host such a huge event; everyone is super excited. We are expecting to have 200 teams this year. Spectators, Players, and partnering organizations will experience a truly fun and enriching tournament.

Linnell Jones McKenney, the executive director of The Salvation Army L.I.F.E. Center and Flint’s first female professional basketball hall-of-fame and world champion, has played in many Gus Macker tournaments across the state. But here at home is her favorite.

Her quest to bring Gus Macker back to Genesee County 6 years ago, after a 20-year hiatus, has been successful and has become the 3rd largest community event in the Flint area.
