Senior Services
Farmington Hills Corps Senior Services Information
We have programs available for Men, Women, and Seniors!
The purpose of all Salvation Army programs is first and foremost to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ. The programs also hope to promote a sense of community among our neighbors, encourage each other in our spiritual walks, and help each other to grow to be the people God wants us to be.
Families - Pathway of Hope
Pathway of Hope is a holistic Salvation Army approach to creating a path out of poverty. We provide targeted services to families with children under the age of 18, both traditional and non-traditional family structures, who desire to break the cycle of crisis. Through case management, we focus on a family's capabilities and raise hope by empowering them to overcome barriers on the path to self-sufficiency. Families set their own goals, and we partner with them to provide the resources needed to accomplish each one. Please call (248) 477-1153 to set up an appointment with a social worker.
Women
Women's Ministries
The Salvation Army Women's Ministries encompasses various opportunities for all women where they are valued, encouraged, equipped, and invited to catch the joy through Christian faith and fellowship. Our mission is to bring women into the knowledge of Jesus Christ, encourage their full potential in influencing family, friends, and community, equip them for growth in personal understanding and in life skills, and to address issues that affect women and their families in their world. There are four aspects to our Women's Ministries: Fellowship, Education, Worship, and Service. Each week, we will focus on one of these categories via crafts, eating, serving in our communities, prayer, and so much more. We hope you will join us as we grow together.

COMMUNITY CARE MINISTRY
The Community Care Ministry (CCM) began in 1892 in Canada. Today, CCM is primarily conducted through the membership of The Salvation Army local church. It is a ministry that engages all ages to respond to the spiritual and social needs of the community. Determined by the local situation, the size of the membership, and the skill of its members, the Community Care Ministry endeavors to follow Christ's example to care for those in need out in the community. Activities include visits to Senior Centers and Senior Housing organizations, home visits to shut-ins, etc.
Men
MEN'S FELLOWSHIP
The Salvation Army has long recognized the need for an organization designed for and particularly adapted to the spiritual, social, educational, and recreational needs of men.
Through The Salvation Army Men's Fellowship program, we hope to foster the warmth of personal fellowship; the understanding developed by common interest, the relaxation of recreation with one's friends; and the spiritual enrichment of close association in active Christian worship and service.
The Farmington Hills Salvation Army Men's Fellowship and Bible Study meets once a month. For more information, please call 248-477-1153.

The Salvation Army passionately invites senior citizens into relationships with others through our many senior centers and eldercare programs. To help combat the loneliness, depression, and loss of independence that often accompany old age, we provide group dining experiences, coordinated activities, visit the homebound, and offer residential assistance for older adults in need of a senior living community
