There are many different ways to get involved with The Salvation Army. We offer volunteers a chance to change people's lives across a wide range of activities and programs - all the while, being changed themselves.

Ring Bells

Most people are familiar with our red kettles and hear those bells ringing at locations throughout Escanaba. The funds raised during November and December stay in our community to assist with emergencies like the ones listed below:

• Utility disconnects
• Rent when eviction notices are received
• Motel rooms when emergencies arise such as a house fire or to assist a stranded motorist due to inclement weather
• Restaurant meals when staying in motels
• Medical prescriptions
• Co-pays on medical prescriptions
• Gasoline for vehicles to travel to work
• Auto repairs
