Basic Needs
Meal Programs
We offer sit-down programs that provide nutritious hot meals and valuable human interaction. We serve daily lunches to the community, Monday through Friday, to help the most vulnerable members of society escape the daily burdens of food insecurity.
Food Pantry
By supplying free fresh produce, canned goods, and healthy frozen items, our food pantries provide valuable meal supplementation while helping those in need maintain their independence and dignity. These food pantries are especially crucial in “food deserts,” where entire communities experience food insecurity due to a lack of grocery store access.
- Mondays: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
- Thursday: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. & 1 p.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Social Services are by appointment, call (906) 786-0590.
Host a Food Drive: The food collected from local food drives is used to sustain The Salvation Army Food Pantry throughout the year. Here is an example list of the foods we need most: canned fruits and vegetables, pork & beans, canned tuna, canned pork or beef, peanut butter, mac & cheese, spaghetti and sauce, pasta, rice, cereal
