Youth Services at Washtenaw County Corps

The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.

The Salvation Army of Washtenaw County provides many programs for children and young adults.

The Ann Arbor Corps Character Building scouting programs are for children in 1st through 12th grades during the school year. In the summer, children can participate in Day Camp in Ann Arbor. Some music instruction is also available, as well as various other programs during the school year. Call 734-668-8353 for more information.

Sports, clubs and extracurricular activities

Through a variety of no-fee and low cost after-school programs, we provide safe ways for kids to to make friends and participate in activities they couldn't otherwise afford.

Art and music programs

We work to provide music and arts programs that many schools can no longer afford. From choirs to instrument training, poetry to painting, drama to dance, after-school lessons and activities help introduce children to the beauties of the fine arts.

Parental involvement coaching

We work to develop relationships with parents in efforts to encourage familial support in the education process.
