Help Share the Warmth in Alpena County

As temperatures begin to drop, The Salvation Army of Alpena County is asking the community to help local families stay warm through its annual Share the Warmth Coat Giveaway. 

Donations of new or clean, gently worn winter essentials are needed, including coats, hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snowpants. Items in all sizes are welcome — from infants and toddlers to children and adults. 

Donations can be dropped off at The Salvation Army Alpena Corps Community Center located at 722 N. Second Ave., Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. 

Want to help but don’t have winter gear to donate? Supporters can purchase needed items online through Walmart and have them shipped directly to The Salvation Army of Alpena County for distribution.
