About the event

Need a little help making Christmas possible for your family this year?

The Salvation Army of Knox County is accepting applications for 2026 Christmas Assistance, including our Christmas Toy Shop, Christmas Food Boxes, and Coats for Kids.

Sign-Up Dates: October 19–November 12, 2026
Monday–Wednesday: 9:00 AM–12:00 PM
Thursday: By appointment only

Applications must be completed in person at The Salvation Army, 2300 N 2nd St., Vincennes.

What to Bring

Please bring the following information with you when applying:

  • Photo ID for the parent/guardian applying
  • Proof of address
  • Proof of income for the household
  • Birth certificates or other identification for children
  • Clothing sizes for each child, including shirt, pants, shoes, and coat sizes
  • Christmas gift ideas/wishes for each child

Please have information available for everyone living in the household, as all household members must be included on the application.

Assistance is available to qualifying Knox County households. Registration is required to receive Christmas Assistance.
