Fighting food insecurity in our community

The Salvation Army of Shelbyville Corps Community Center Food Services Information

The Salvation Army of Shelby County provides free meals to the community seven days a week, along with serving meals to the children that attend our youth programs.  For many this might be the only meal that they get that day.

Our Soup Kitchen is open

  • Monday though Friday:
    • Coffee & Donuts - 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m.
    • Lunch - 11:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Saturdays are sack lunches - 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m.
  • Sundays - 12:00 p.m. - 1:00 p.m.

Food Rescue

Do you work in a restaurant and are overwhelmed by the amount of food thrown away? Want to reduce that waste? We would love to help you rescue that food and feed it to those in need. We are health department-approved and our cooks are ServSafe trained so we know how to handle those leftovers.

Would your church/organization be interested in preparing and serving a meal on a Sunday? Check out the document below or contact our Head Cook Tiffany Baker or Program/Volunteer Coordinator Toni Streelman at 317/398-7421 to reserve your Sunday.
