The Salvation Army is committed to empowering young people and providing them with opportunities to thrive. Our local youth programs offer a variety of activities and services designed to inspire, educate, and support young people.
Youth Programs:
Basketball & Cheerleading: our youth basketball program is open to children in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. The teams will start practices January 4 our first game will be January 16 th. and the last game will be March 20th. followed by a tournament. Each child will receive shorts, a jersey, and a trophy. We have a competitive league that teaches our children the great game of basketball. We focus on teaching our children the fundamentals of basketball and sportsmanship. Each week the children will be given a bible verse, if they memorize it, they get a special prize from the concession stand. The cost for basketball is $50 and $75.00 for cheerleading. If you are interested in coaching or volunteering to help us, make this league a success, please fill out the form at the end of the registration form. Summer Day Camp:
Our summer day camp is opened to children in Kindergarten through twelfth grade. Sign-ups open in April. Day camp will cost $10/day per child.
Hidden Falls Camp
Hidden Falls Camp is a 700-acre Salvation Army camp near Bedford. It features nature trails, an indoor pool, fishing, high ropes courses, an archery range, and log cabins. Over 400 kids from across Indiana participate every summer in various camps focusing on the body, mind, and spirit. Through camp, kids get a safe space to just be a kid.
