Pathway of Hope

Helping families move from poverty to sufficiency

The Salvation Army of New Albany Corps Community Center Pathway of Hope Information

Pathway of hope

The Pathway of Hope is an approach to providing targeted services to families who have a desire to take action to break their own cycle of crisis and enable a path out of
inter-generational poverty. It is rooted in a case management approach, focusing on client needs through a strength-based lens. The Salvation Army will continue to serve all who come to us in need, but the Pathway of Hope will allow us to double our impact for motivated families, helping them to achieve self-sufficiency.

How we help equip families

This initiative of The Salvation Army helps motivated families set goals and make custom plans for  housing, employment, financial stability, education and transportation to break the cycle of generational poverty. The goal is to move from crisis to increased stability and ultimately self-sufficiency through:

Budgeting Classes/Financial Management

Assisting the client in the development of a personal action plan

Weekly check-ups to monitor progress, encourage next steps and build relationship
