Jefferson County's Only Ongoing Feeding Program

We love to see people from all walks of life sitting down and sharing a meal, learning, growing, and loving as a community together. The Salvation Army is honored to be Jefferson County's only ongoing feeding program, providing over 42,000 meals for the community!

The Lord's Kitchen:

The Lord's Kitchen serves as the only regular feeding program in Jefferson County. These free and healthy meals are provided Monday through Friday, in our kitchen, at the following times:

Breakfast:  9:00 - 10:00 AM

Lunch:  Noon - 1:00 PM

The Salvation Army also works with the Madison "End of the Month Meal" to provide meals to shut-ins and those who come to The Salvation Army on the last Saturday of every month. The Lord's Kitchen is open from 11:00 until Noon on the final Saturday of each month.

How can you partner with us in this ministry?

As you can imagine the cost to run this program is not small, anytime food donations are brought in, a financial burden is relieved and we can provide food to those who need it the most. We run a very tight budget and have only one paid staff to run this program: volunteers are the backbone of our ministry.

Consider volunteering your time in the Lord's kitchen.

Volunteer

We are a health department-approved kitchen which means we can handle your leftovers! Have food you didn't eat the night before, don't throw it away, we can use it. Do you work at a restaurant and are burdened by how much food is thrown away every day, we would love to reduce your waste and feed those in need! Let's partner together to help those in need in our community.
