The Salvation Army provides resources and support for adults in our community through:

Community Meals
The Salvation Army serves a free, nutritious meal Monday - Friday for whomever chooses to join us. Lunch is served weekdays from noon - 1 p.m. 

Food Pantry
The Salvation Army East Chicago Food Pantry is open Monday - Thursday, 9 - 11 a.m. Food boxes may include shelf-stable pantry items, breads, cereals, meat and other household necessities. 

Recreational, Sports & Fitness Programs
Sports, recreation and fitness programs help us learn the value of health, physical activity and teamwork. Our Workout classes get you up and moving to fun music. Join us Tuesday at 10 a.m.

Music, Visual and Dramatic Education
The Salvation Army is the largest music educator in the world, with offerings in brass, vocal, guitar, drums and more. It is important to provide additional creative outlets for youth, teens and adults to share their experiences, hopes, dreams and fears. Music classes are Tuesdays & Wednesdays from 6 - 8 p.m.  For more information about music classes contact usc.ind.eastchicago.shared@usc.salvationarmy.org

Homelessness Prevention & Emergency Assistance Programs
The Salvation Army provides emergency assistance to help with mortgage/rent, utility bills, clothing, medication bills, and other needs in order to keep families in their homes. For more information or support: contact our Corps Community Center at 219-398-2939, find a location near you.
The Salvation Army provides Thanksgiving and Christmas meals for families unable to create a special meal themselves. We host homemade dinners at our facility and provide a Christmas dinner box to struggling families. 

Adult Rehabilitation Centers
The Salvation Army Adult Rehabilitation Centers provide intense work-based substance abuse therapy for a minimum of six months. Clients live onsite and work in Salvation Army Family Stores and other areas, while participating in a full range of treatment programs.
