The Salvation Army Corps Community Center-Columbus Holiday Giving Information
Share the Christmas Spirit
Through your continued support, we are able to come alongside families, singles, and seniors during the holidays when it can be extra difficult. Oftentimes, the holidays serve as a reminder for struggling families that they can't afford gifts or a new coat for their kids. The Salvation Army is giving people the opportunity to make a difference.
Angel Tree
Social service agencies and schools refer families to The Salvation Army for help with Christmas. Participants are interviewed to verify that the family is truly in need. Verification is made to ensure that the family is not receiving duplicate services from another agency.
Angel tags are distributed to sponsors who shop for the child's wish list. We recommend spending at least $100 for each Angel adopted. Angels are adopted until mid-December when parents eagerly arrive at a designated location on distribution day to pick up gifts for their Angels. Each parent has the opportunity to wrap the donated gifts.
