Utility Assistance
During a long, cold winter, your heat bill swells and you receive a notice from your energy provider that all utilities will be disconnected unless you can pay the overdue balance. Or you medically need air conditioning to breathe and the cost skyrockets your electricity. Maybe your spouse retired, lost a job, or worse and you find yourself financially struggling to choose between rent, food or utilities. Allow us to help! We partner with the Whitley County Ministerial Association to provide utility help to families and individuals in our community. One time per 12-month period, you may be able to receive up to $225 towards your utility bill to keep the lights on or heat going. To qualify you must live in Whitley County, reside in the home you are requesting utility help for, and be under 150% of the federal poverty level. If you have a need and are unsure of your qualifications, contact the office at (260) 248-1711. Someone will be happy to see if we can help you!

Support your community
