Hunger Services at The Salvation Army Corps Community Center-Anderson

The Salvation Army is dedicated to alleviating hunger in our community

Ours is a monthly food pantry that we currently operate in pull-up style. We have a printed list of area food pantries to give to clients in need throughout the month in addition to occasionally providing emergency food assistance when needed. We understand the challenges that food insecurity can pose in this area, and we're committed to providing a helping hand. It is our desire that none of our Madison County residents go hungry and do all we can between ours and other local pantry and meal kitchen to ensure that.

By providing access to nutritious food, we aim to improve the health and well-being of the neighbors we serve. We believe that everyone deserves to have access to the nourishment they need to thrive.

How we help fight food insecurity

By utilizing our Food Pantry on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, residents can make their meals go a little further. In Madison County, several agencies and churches work together to ensure food stability. We utilize this program through our Pathway of Hope Program also. During the months of November and December we try to make the holidays special with a Thanksgiving and Christmas Food Basket. Our Adopt-A-Family Program also gives people in the community a little extra.
