Southern Illinois Service Extension Helping Alleviate the Stress of Poverty Information
The Salvation Army in Southern Illinois seeks to combat poverty by providing support with rent and utility assistance, offering nutritional food through our food pantry, and by assisting the homeless with tents and sleeping bags. We also help struggling individuals and families with seasonal clothing vouchers to our thrift store. We believe that by providing these services, we can help alleviate the stress of poverty in our community.
